John Wayne is "Travers" who arrives in a remote town with his pal "Yak" (yep - Yakima Canutt, who even gets a line or two) just a the local sheriff is gunned down by a member of the "Shadow" gang. Determined to stamp to this lawlessness, he takes on the mantle of the dead man and is soon hot on the trail of the elusive ringleader. It features plenty of action, a fake room, "Gabby" Hayes adds some chirpy value and a rather wooden Verna Hillie provides the glamour as Duke closes in...
