Overview

When the Sun begins to expand in such a way that it will inevitably engulf and destroy the Earth in a hundred years, united mankind finds a way to avoid extinction by propelling the planet out of the Solar System using gigantic engines, moving it to a new home located four light years away, an epic journey that will last thousands of years.

    I just watched this on Netflix. I did not have any expectations going into it. It was not very good, unfortunately. Main reasons were that 8t was over-the-top from start to finish. Epic scene after epic scene without much supporting context. I think it can work in some cases but I dknt think it did here. You barely get a feel for the main characters, let alone the 20 supporting cast members, in this 2 hour movie. If they simplified the plot and went deeper into the core characters then it would be good. All of that is possible while still making it a little campy and not so serious. It misse...
