Overview

18th century, The Russian Empire. The series tells the life story of Darya Saltykova, who was called Saltychikha by serfs. The landowner brutally tortured about one and half hundreds peasants, for which "Russian Elizabeth Bathory" was imprisoned at underground prison, where she spent 33 years until her death.
